Rick and Lorraine Gannon
We have been investing in property for over 2 decades, so we certainly have a few stories to tell! We’ve seen both good times and bad times but we’ve survived to tell the tale.
We have a varied portfolio of single lets, commercial lets, pubs, holiday lets and a large collection of HMO’s (Houses of Multiple Occupation) worth over £9M over more than 50+ units.
We have had over 4500 students through our courses, working towards our mission of bridging the 100k shortfall in UK housing every year.
George
Office Manager

Damian Qualter - Head Of Digital
I haven’t always worked in marketing. I worked in the textile industry for many years, and later in the property industry.
I am an expert in digital marketing, geeking out on Infusionsoft which I've been using since 2008. I am responsible for building and analysing many of New Era's internal processes and marketing systems.
Clare Graham - Head Strategy Coach
Based in scotland, Clares background is in sales and business development. She has worked at New Era for 4 years as our head strategy coach.
Jay Spall - Strategy Coach
Based in Kent near London, Jay’s background is in sales and business development. He has been a part of the strategy coaching team at New Era Training for more than 5 years.

I live and invest in Liverpool where I have student and professional HMOs and a semi-commercial property. I rent my student properties out as serviced accommodation over the summer months.
Oliver Shute
Oliver Shute is a driven and resourceful property investor and mentor at New Era Property Academy. Starting with a single serviced accommodation unit in the North East of England, Oliver has built an impressive property portfolio worth over £1 million in just two years — all without traditional backing. Using a combination of funds from an ISA and small private loans, he has strategically scaled his business with a focus on sustainable growth and creative financing.
Today, Oliver’s portfolio includes two fully operational serviced accommodation properties, two HMOs (one currently undergoing refurbishment), and his most ambitious project to date — a multi-unit freehold block (MUFB) development of nine one-bedroom flats. With an unwavering goal of reaching a £2 million portfolio valuation by 2026, Oliver’s journey reflects both strategic thinking and hands-on experience in the field.
As a mentor at New Era Property Academy, Oliver shares not just the highs, but also the practical lessons from the early grind and every deal in between. His mission is to empower aspiring investors to realise their own potential by leveraging creative strategies, persistence, and smart decision-making — regardless of their starting point.
Dave Curtis
Working as an IT Consultant Dave started with a Property he owned, has multiple HMOs on a rent to rent and has bough and refurbed many properties in Wales and the Bristol area. He currently has over £1.5 million worth of Property!
Bobby Pratt
My background is in plumbing and heating, where I specialised in delivering full systems for high-end new builds and back-to-brick renovations. I transitioned from running that business to focus full-time on property investment.
I started with a flip, followed by the purchase of an HMO at auction, which led to being featured on Homes Under the Hammer. Since then, we’ve grown a £2.25M portfolio made up of holiday lets, HMOs, and a block of flats.
We’re now expanding further and currently exploring the purchase of 7 flats through a joint venture partnership.
Tabitha Fyffe
Starting with a house I bought from the council, with no money down, I have now scaled and over time grown my portfolio to £1.6 million pounds worth of property. I have extensive property renovation experience, scooping out, a 2 bed 2 floor house and transforming into a 3 floor 5 bed designer HMO. I create beautiful places for people to enjoy. I own 3 HMOs and started with limited cash and I am now working on MUFBs.
